German half-track mounted machine gun error (SOLVED)

Unread post by p.jakub88 » Thu Jun 19, 2014 10:12 pm

Hello everyone,

using HDD editor i tried to add a German half-track model in one of the default H&D Deluxe missions.

Unfortunately i came across a strange error - when i tried to take place of the mounted machine-gunner position, the soldier was sitting instead of standing (!). The same situation with enemy soldier.

So, in result the mounted machine gun can't be used  .

I attached 3 images below to show you what i am talking about.

How i could fix that?

Thank You in advance for any help.

Finally i managed to resolve this problem  .

All 8 seat positions of the German half-track were turned on "sit" instead of "stay".

I needed to change the machine gunner seat position into "stay".

Sorry for bothering you guys.

No need to apologize, the forums are here to ask questions. ;)

It would seem, anyway, that you know a lot more than I do when it comes to modding Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe (I only ever do H&D2, and even there I'm a bit of a noob  )
But it is great that you are still working on enhancing HDD; even in HD2 there are not too many players anymore.
I look forward to seeing your work in the future. thup01

Hi jacobston,

i am glad to hear that  , i read the HDD editor tutorial that i found here: http://www.hidden-and-dangerous.net/edi ... orials.php plus i experimented a lot with editing default missions.

Until now i managed to do few things like:

-> changing the default weapons of German soldiers,

-> adding new German soldiers,

-> adding new vehicles with fuel and ammo,

-> editing stats of German soldiers,

-> adding new fixed machine gun defense positions.

I am thinking about adding new German troops patrols into some default H&D Deluxe missions as well as armored ones.

I would like to make the default missions more playable and give the player the possibility to use more enemy vehicles; the example is the last mission from Germany campaign, where i added the fuel and ammo to the German half-track so the player could use it in defense against incoming German soldiers.

Some time ago i played H&D 2, but in my opinion the first version is the best.
