Hello,
I do have a similar prob with 3dsmax as people on this forum, BUT: i've found an old 3dsmax 3.0 version and installed it on my xp. I've set the path to hdd's bin directory, even copied thie icom_rd.dll into system32... when i start max i do not see the import option nor i see the plugin in the summary report... i've even started a VMWare installation with win2000, but even this does'nt help... oh, my max runs as 30 days trial and my hdd is from filefront, could this be the reason?...
If nothing helps here, maybe there is someone who has converted the animations to a more friendly format already? maybe .max or similar??? :)
Thanx in advance
3DS MAX forever...
Re: 3DS MAX forever...
Have you copied the plugins in the hdd directory into your 3dsmax/plugins folder?

I found something very funny!: it works in 3DSMAX 4 (!!!) :)) can't believe it, i've been so frustrating, fighting since 2 days with the installation... but finally, i've got it even to work! in MAX4 heheh
