Changing to First-Person View?

When I press F4 it does not change my view to first-person, can somebody help me and tell me what I need to do to change my perspective? Thanks!
Maybe look through the controls and change it to something else?
If you know it is set to F4 and when you press F4 it doesn't work, then it sounds like your keyboard has the F keys deactivated. I've seen this weirdly on other keyboards, try activating or deactivating scroll lock and num lock and trying again.
The surefire way is to change the key.
