A small favor - a H&D Deluxe mission add-on

Unread post by p.jakub88 » Tue Apr 18, 2017 8:55 pm

Hello everyone,

i would like to share with you my thirtieth-two created mission add-on for Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe, it is called "A small favor".

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Unpack all the rar archives into your H&D Deluxe data folder (i.e.: C:\Program Files\Take2\Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe\data) and replace data.dta with the new one. The mission add-on is a file with *.add extension. Start the game, choose play add-on and select "A small favor" from the menu.

MISSION BRIEFING

A British tank battalion commander asked us for help. His tank unit need to capture an enemy airfield. However, in the last assault they lost a whole tank platoon due to the anti-tank guns fire. Our objectives are to destroy all Flak 88 anti-tank guns and contact by radio the tank battalion commander when we achieve our goal. The 88 guns are located near the main runway. There should be a radio on the top of the control tower. We have a jeep armed with mounted machine gun on our disposal. Good luck!

CREDITS

To NilsZ for providing info about creating destroyable models in 3ds max.
The new models and related textures were downloaded from www.cadnav.com, except for the destroyable version of Flak 88 gun which i made myself and the 88 mm ammo shells model.

IMPORTANT INFO

To blow up the 88 guns (3 in total) You will need to place one time-bomb near to each one. I created a new inventory item called "Time-bomb with amatol" for the purpose of other mission add-on ("The guns of Navarone"), but please choose the default one.

REQUEST FOR FEEDBACK

If you downloaded my mission add-on please give me your feedback. I am waiting your comment.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

I re-uploaded the data.rar file once again. It seems, that there were some files missing inside the data.dta archive preventing from launching the game. I apologize for that.

Are you sure those are Flak88s instead of Pak88s?

Hello Myron,

the original gun model was on the carriage and this was for 100% the famous Flak 88 gun: http://www.cadnav.com/3d-models/model-10925.html.

I hope, that You like the mission at least. I took me a lot of time to make it.

I just might like.

My question was a joke, not an accusation or criticism.

It's just that there were two different German 88s used during the war. The flak 88 was anti-air, AND anti-tank. The Pak 88 was anti-take only. They still used the same gun.

OK no problem. I just uploaded this mission long time ago and only You replied me asking such question, so i could be a bit "surprised" that's all.
