Wow that looks good Lars, what are you working on?
Re: Project: Deluxe restored
Still some ideas... nothing done yet. Something like rebuilding the original missions but with more details and better textures.

Re: Project: Deluxe restored
Yes it's always on my mind actually, but as far as things making progress, no sadly. I figure at this point the project is only worth doing if I can redo all of the models but will that take away from the gameplay? The models need to be upgraded but the feel of the game must remain. This project may actually get worked on this year because I have just started my own business, which after a while, should give me more freedom. I definitely haven't forgotten about it that is for sure. My intention is still the same, to complete it

Re: Project: Deluxe restored
I've decided on some new directions for my H&D Deluxe projects and there are a few things that I need to sort out if a major one is going to happen at all with the Insanity 2 engine. After recently starting up H&D Deluxe and trying to play my favourite Snow Demon mission I realised that it needed a lot of work to bring it up to a better standard. First of all the map needs fog, if you've seen my "assassination" mission you'll know what can be achieved with fog. The snow effects in Deluxe are awful, same with rain, I fixed those... not released stuff.
I'm rambling... Basically what I am going to do is release all the stuff I have worked on over the years. Most is not finished. This way I can start on something better. I'm going to continue with my restored project but on a mission by mission basis. The first release will be in a couple of hours, after I post this I'm going to go sort out the first batch

Re: Project: Deluxe restored
I want to re-create the Flash Mini game that was released as a promo for H&D2 first. Once that is done I will decide where to go from there. I'm not sure 2k Czech can be trusted to deliver a good H&D3 game. H&D1 is just so much better than H&D2 when it comes to missions. The style is much more tactical and less run & gun... or is it lone wolf
But yeah, won't be anything for a long while. I have my business to build

Re: Project: Deluxe restored
I agree with you on that H&D1 was better than H&D2. Best with co-op multiplayer together with a friend.

Re: Project: Deluxe restored
Specifically the missions, the stealth aspects of H&D2 are good, could have be better like Death to Spies but that's a dedicated stealth game. Swimming could have been better used, like in Deadly Dozen. Shame H&D1 didn't have swimming, shame Deluxe didn't add it. I'm all for recreating the atmosphere of H&D1, it's the greatest thing that game had and H&D2 only captured it once in C1M1 of Sabre Squadron.
Re: Project: Deluxe restored
I think m1 in H&D2 SS was the only one I ever played. I was just so angry at not having a real co-op with a story.

Re: Project: Deluxe restored
Seriously?, you need to play the entire SS expansion, it's well worth it. Some really good missions in there compared to H&D2. Definitely worth it, anyone who was disappointed with H&D2 should have really checked out the expansion as it did redeem itself a fair bit.
Re: Project: Deluxe restored
Hi Jason when are you planning a Deluxe restored?
I am seriously in need of mods and campaigns for both H&D 1 and 2. I dont understand Mafia and H&D 2 run on the same engine yet the former has so many cool mods, not to forget the highl anticipated titanic mod.
Well please give us some deadly campaigns
