Lost Saves After Installing Sabre Squadron

Hey guys,

I have been playing H&D2 for a while now and have gotten fairly far into the game. I just got and installed sabre squadron. After the install I had two icons on my desktop. One for H&D2 and the other for SS. When I went into H&D2 I didnt have my resume game button active. It was greyed out, and I have no way of getting back to my game. I did look in the folder view and saw that my profile folder is still there with the saves. But for some reason it does not recognize them. I unistalled everything and reinstalled just H&D2. I kept my profile folder and installed the patches I had on before SS. I went in but still no luck. Anyone one else with this problem. Anyone know a fix?

The current save is the only one i've only noticed dissapear. so the map you were on will have to be redone... maybe the enitre campaign...

and if you start the game in sabre squad u can still continue the hd2 campaign. so you actually dont need the old hd2 icon anymore.

How?

When i go to campaign, it wants to start from the first mission without my veteran units ive been using the whole game.

You should be able to go into 'singleplayer' then 'campaign' and select the mission you were last on and there should be 'resume game' try that if not well there are saved games on the main site

I lost all of my SP saves for my Normal profile - they didn't vanish or anything, they just didn't work. :? It was after I installed SS, but not immediately after... at first I could still load all the single missions and so on, but I crashed while playing one and all my saves buggered up. Campaign progress reset to zero. :x

The saved game file format was changed when they went to Sabre Squadron and H&D2 with patch 1.12.

Jep it works just fine, i'm using it myself, since i'm formatting my

computer quite often to get the optimal of it. :)

So is it possible for me to get my saves to work. If they have been converted to file format 1.12 then why do they not work with SS with 1.12 installed.

Also, when i downloaded the saves on this website they work just fine.

Hi all....new to these forums. Quik Q....I have a saves mod for hard level campains, how do i get them to show in the menu? I place them where it said to...H&D2 directory, but they don't show in game. Any help please would be welcome.

You downloaded one of MD's Saved Game mods and they won't show up? did you extract them? place them in the player profiles folder?
