Are we going to get HD3

I'm a...ahem...mature gamer, so very few games appeal to me (well, they are aimed at youngsters) war/strategy games are my favourite, and football. H&D was, and still is the best game I've come across.
Will ther be a HD3 ?
If not, are there any similar games I could try.

As far as anyone knows theres no H&D3 in production or any plans for it but I wouldn't write it off altogether. I'm sure Illusion softworks will keep us entertained whatever they release next.

In terms of similar games I can't really think of any that match the H&Ds that closely. The Brothers in Arms games aren't too bad, reasonbaly tactial & realstic but you don't has much of a free reign on way you do things and that can get annoying.
Operation flashpoint perhaps isn't particlarly like H&D but its tactial, realistic and a great game I'd recommend to anyone.
Ghost recon is perhaps the most similar to H&D in alot of respects- choice of team and weapons, tactical map, good open missions, realistic- only in a modern setting.

Other people might have some more suggestions but thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

Sniper Elite. In stead of me giving a review do a google for it. But i will state buy (or download) at your own risk. I am so pleased i didn't pay for the goddam thing, go f*ck Rebellion, bunch of bloody dimwits.

But you are right, they have like three other games in production so H&D3 won't be around for a while but don't write it off the list

All I know is that some proposals have been put forward for a H&D3, that only means they are considering it. I am sure it's their biggest money maker to date so I don't see why they wouldn't make one after the next couple of games.

Probably when they announce it... you know IS, they make a game get close to completion then announce it then take another two years to finish it
