Hello Hidden and Dangerous Fans

Unread post by NilsZ » Tue Dec 31, 2013 3:37 pm

I always felt like i am the last HaDD-Modder on earth until i discovered this Forum. I think here is still some activity, not like in the german forums. I want to exchange with some other Modders, maybe i can help you and you can help me.

I am a 21 year old german Hidden and Dangerous fan, i have the PS one game, HD1 classic, HD FfF, HD Deluxe and HD2+Sabre Squadron.

The reason why i registered is that i think HaDD will still be played a little over the years. I made some addons for HDD, but they have a bad quality because i were not so experienced at Editing. Now after some time i have a learned more in HaDD editing and i think i could make a big MOD, that will make a better game for all people who download the game in future.

If someone is interested in playing Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe online please contact me ;)
I still like the game and Addons & Modding give it every time a new feeling.

Best Regards,
Nils

I had trouble with players dropping from my server intermittently... only people that were connected to my LAN were able to stick around 100%. Using Win XP.

how fast is your internet connection? I had also some problems with 100 kb/sec downstream, because it was just to slow for HaDD. Now i have faster internet and it runs without Lags.

More than 100mb down... more than 20mb up. I don't remember exactly what it is now, they are always upgrading over here.

(very late) Welcome to the forums

Sad to hear even the German H&D forum is starting to go a bit quiet.

I've had the urge many times to get back into H&D Deluxe editing but just feel that there are some restrictions. I'd really like to improve/change some core things such as sneaking. At the moment I am learning C# (been doing it slowly for a bit) and will be getting into Unity. It would be great to one day work on a H&D clone.

I'd be more than eager to play any mods you create thup01

I will make some addons when i have finished my HDD Mod Pack.

It will include a lot of new things like:
- Shotguns
- Medipacks
- Sneaking is faster
- Russian Weapons (and a complete new Weapon set)
- the Game Options are changed, for example Shots fly now 800m/sec instead of 500m/sec, the Magnet factor is switched off,
- some Missions are changed a little bit (the tram in danube2 drives again, the Pilot in prague2 will exit the bike/mercedes when the plane lands, etc.)

I am also converting the Bertgold missions to Addons.

I will show some screenshots soon :)
