Re: red orchestra

Daniel wrote: Ah good, that's sounds better (mainly cos of the momentum thing). It sounds like you'll actually be able to reliably hit people with melee attacks in that? :)
It's still pretty hard to get a good smack/stab.

But it's by no means as hard as using H&D2's knives.

Re: red orchestra

What? :S Also, how is close combat? cos in h&d2 multiplayer it is just shit - you can jog around way too fast and change direction, pistols a awful, and it just turns into machine gun lag dancing crap. You can't even effectively slash people with knives - left alone have features like grabbing hold...

Hidden & Dangerous: Source

It seems that Illusion Softworks has bought a license on PhysX technology. That means they'll have access to the PhysX Software Development Kit, the PhysX API and the NovodeX API & physics engine. That's a huge leap forward IMO, they already amazed me when they bought a motion capture studio for Maf...

IMO Illusion Softworks should make an entire new game engine built upon the Quake 3 open-source code and use large fragments of bugless, optimized LS3D engine. Combine it, add some fancy rendering, shading, physics and AI stuff like normal mapping, specular mapping, bumpmapping, parallax mapping, Hi...

1944 D-Day: Operation Overlord

[quote=""Oldih""]Sounds pretty interesting. But since there is this LSD as you explained, I know this sounds bit unrealistic but like Rainbow Six - Rogue Spear, there is a thing which shows the pulse of the body next to your status. For example: Healthy - Green *window* and working well Healthy\Inju...

1944 D-Day: Operation Overlord

[quote=""Oldih""] I meant the concept of this being a flame war... Any advertisment is good advertisment... Yup. PS vit: as I said, I consider this as *flame war*, not flame war. 1944 D-Day: Operation Overlord

[quote=""Drozdov""]Only problem with this game is it's too ambitious, I doubt it'll live up to their hopes, unless they take years to make it. Talk of expansion packs in whole new combat zones is unrealistic - WWII Online has been hinting at this for years, but still we only have the Western Europea...

[quote=""Oldih""]Good idea, then we can get CS Goes WWII re-visited on source  Muuahaha But really, I am against the idea, even thought Source engine has capability of making good psychis and graphics, it is pretty heavy (IMHO, more heavier than F.E.A.R?s engine) overall, especially in MP. [quote=""Oldih""]It sounds good, but IMHO, isn?t there enough Normandy scenario\campaing based mods\games?
