i'm running the editor on xp sp3

Hi people, i'm a 20 years old guy from Italy. i'm following the great guide about the editor, but i'm stuck in pt.3 of "my first mission". when i reconstruct the ground after changing to daylight, all the shadows are gone. what am I missing?
