@ p.jakub88 I've set up the editor according to Jason's "Setting up directories" tutorial. If I place my custom texture in the maps.mod directory, it does not show up. I finally have 3ds max r3.1 working using WINE. So I decided to try the tutorial "Making a simple terrain" by Bighouse. Just a simple plane with a texture added. Exported it as scene.i3d. When I open it in the Insanity2 editor, the plane is there, but no texture. Am I doing something wrong in 3ds ma...

Thanks for the reply bananamoose. Well, that sure is frustrating. I'm running 3D Studio Max R3 on Mac OS X, with Windows XP as a guest inside of VirtualBox. That's where I get the same error as you. Everything else works, except for recognizing the i3d plugins. I wonder if it has anything to do with...

I have had some progress. I managed to get a copy of 3D Studio Max R3 and install the plugins, I have added the correct dll to the windows>system file and now I am left with this error. http://imgur.com/elyQV.gif Does anyone know what causes this error? No, it is version 3D Studio MAX R3. That is the version that is supposed to work with these plugins.

I get these messages when I run 3D Studio Max R3
i3dexp.dle> is an obsolete version - not loading.

These are the plugins that came with Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe. Why does it consider them to be obsolete.

Ok, I think I understand. If a mission has one part, you can save and return to that save as long as you do not quit the game. If you quit the game, you have to start the mission from the beginning. It is not possible to start any part of a mission, even if you have saved it, once you quit the game....

Saving Add Ons
When playing a fan mission, is there a way to start from the place that you saved the mission, so that when you quit the game you don't have to start each mission from the beginning again?
