Hi Guys
I am new to H&D2/Sabre Squadron.
I am a liitle baffled re the COOP mode.
Briefly I have played the BREST mission in CAMPAIGN MODE
which necessitated finding a KEY from a German Guard to open the
door to the Submarine base.
This was fine and worked OK in Campaign and Solo mode and I found the key easily.
However last evening playing in COOP mode with a friend we could not
find a key on ANY German guard even though we finished them all off.
We searched each guard numerous times but no key to be found.
Therefore we could not even get into the base.
ANY info as to why this is are MOST welcome considering we spent the best part of an hour on this mission before giving up.
Thank you.
Best Wishes
Edward

in coop u find the key in a box close to the west wall in the barracks department, it stands just off the "road", out on the grass, so its kinda hard to see... but it should be there.

if you still cant find it, let me know and ill give you a picture of the map the base and ill draw a red cricle around the position. Razz

Hell?!

I don't find that key either. :( Could somebody draw a circle where should I find it in co-operative mode?

Thanks!

Yeah, you would think in a game trying to be realistic you would actually need to get the key off of a baddie, but in SS coop, everything is toned down in the critical thinking department and toned up in the brute strength department. That inadvertently makes things like this a little tougher to figure out, but I can't see why, if you pay attention to detail, that you would have trouble finding a crate on the floor. Unless of course you were trying to avoid that area; just don't forget the coop adjustments to the maps are for run and gun game play. You are supposed to kill everything and everyone and die 10 times.

That's what I liked about the original COOP, no second chances and it was exactly the same. The second game is a lot different in gameplay but they still made it too run and gun. Playing COOP online is pointless. People don't often use stealth or communicate Sad

Yeah, well, unless I am just practicing, I am playing with my team or friends on TS. It is not pointless to me! I've met some good people playing SS coop online. The rule set I run on my server usually gets rid of the idiots fairly quickly. They don't bother coming back. I don't give more than 0 lives either. So if you die, you are dead.

Yeah, we also set the death limit to 2 and we also use TeamSpeak to communicate and coordinate eachother. :)

Ps.: Unfortunately, I always avoided that place where that box is, because I don't feel that I need to use that path. Embarrassed
